For the second straight game the Petes went to a shootout, but again could not earn the extra point.  Trailing 6-4 with 1:21 remaining in the game Andrew Yogan scored his second of the game to pull the Petes within a goal and Matt Puempel Tied the game with 29.9 seconds remaining with his second of the night.

The 67's opened the scoring 1:28 into the game on a goal by Shane Prince, but Andrew Yogan evened things up before the game was 3 and a half minutes in with his first of two on the night.  Sean monahan gave the 67's a 2-1 lead with his first of 3 on the night at 5:02 and got his second of the night at 9:55 but Matt Puempel would pull the Petes within a goal before the period was over with his first of two on the night at 19:00.

The Petes took their first lead of the game with a pair of second period goals by Peter Ceresnak at 14:53 and Joey West at 16:37 to go up 4-3 after 40 minutes of play.

The 67's evened the game just 25 seconds into the 3rd period as Monahan completed the hat trick and restored their lead at 7:21 on a goal by Dalton Smith.  Shane Prince added his second of the game at 9:48 to put the 67's up by a pair until Yogan and Puempel forced the extra time. 

Yogan was the first shooter for the Petes scoring, but Lino Martschini and Alan Quine failed to beat Petr Mrazek, while Tyler Toffoli was stopped by Mike Morrison but Monahan and Smith would beat him for the win.

Next action for the Petes is Sunday evening in Oshawa when they take on the Generals.  The Petes next home game is Thursday Decemebr 8th when the Niagara IceDogs come to town.  Thursday's game is also the Petes Annual Teddy Bear Toss where fans are encouraged to bring a stuffed toy to throw on the ice when the Petes score thei first goal of the game.
