The Peterborough Petes dropped a 7-3 decision to the Kingston Frontenacs on Thursday night.
Steven Trojanovic opened the scoring 17:23 into the game netting his 6th of the season and the Petes took a 1-0 lead to the dressing room after 20 minutes. Andrew Yogan and Matt Puempel assisted on the Trojanovic goal.
The Frontenacs evened the game 8:43 into the 2nd on a goal by Trevor Morbeck and took their first lead of the game at 15:16 on a goal by Darcy Greenaway but the Petes came right back on a wrap around goal by Joey West just 31 seconds later, however, Billy Jenkins evened the game for the Fronts 16 seconds later again take the lead. Stephen Pierog tied the game for the Petes at 17:50 to send the teams to the dressing room knotted at 3. Assists on the West goal were Trojanovic and Luke Hietkamp, while Nick Ritchie and Jonthan Jasper assisted on Pierog's.
The third period was all Kingston as they scored 4 unanswered goals by Jack Nevins (1:20), Petr Beranek (6:57), Greenaway (11:29) and Beranek at 12:29 to give the Frontenacs the 7-3 victory.
Both teams will go right back at it tomorrow night as the Petes travel east on the 401 to the KRock centre for a 7:30 matchup with the Fronts before hosting the Mississauga St. michael's Majors on Saturday night at the PMC.
