Petes beat Otters 2-1 in Overtime

Lino Martschini will remember his 19th birthday well as he scored the overtime winner in a 2-1 win for the Petes over the Erie Otters on Saturday night in Erie.

The Otters opened the scoring 13:25 into the 2nd period on a goal by Dane Fox and held the 1-0 lead until Nick Ritchie got the Petes on the board with his 10th goal of the season just 37 seconds into the 3rd period leading the way to Martschini's overtime heroics at 3:08 of the extra frame.

Next up for the Petes is a matinee game in St. Catharines on Sunday vs. the Niagara IceDogs.
