The Peterborough Petes opened the second half of the season with a 5-2 win over the visiting Erie Otters with a line up that featured 5 call ups from affiliates.
Steven Trojanovic opened the scoring at 18:36 of the 1st period giving the Petes a 1-0 lead with his 5th of the season.
Ex-Pete Derek Holden tied things up for the Otters 1:19 into the 2nd with a power play goal and the Otters took their only lead 10:01 into the middle frame however the Petes came back with a pair of goals at 13:05 by Andrew Yogan and 13:37 by Joey West.
The Petes extended their lead to 4-2 2:51 into the 3rd period on a goal by call up JC Campagna and Andrew yogan scored his 2nd of the night at 10:35 making the final 5-2 for the Petes.
All in all, 4 of the 5 call ups recorded a point and Andrew D'Agostini made 34 saves giving the Petes the 5-2 win with 10 regulars out of the line up.
Next action for the Petes is Friday night when they travel to the Nation's Capital to tak eon the 67's before hosting the Sudbury Wolves in a new years day matinee affair at 2:05pm.
