The Peterborough Petes came from behind to beat the Ottawa 67's 5-3 on Friday night in the Nations Capital to move into 5th place in the Eastern Conference. Andrew Yogan recorded a pair of goals, Joey West recorded a goal and 2 assists while playing in his 300th career OHL game and Andrew D'Agostini made 27 saves in the Petes win.
The 67's opened the scoring just 12 seconds into the game on a goal by Mike Cazzola and built a 2-0 lead 8:48 into the period on Shane Princes first of two goals on the night. Joey West scored his 15th of the season pulling the Petes with in a goal at 15:17.
Luke Hietkamp scored the lone goal of the second period ripping a shorthanded breakaway shot high blocker on Petr Mrazek tying the game at 2 after 40 minutes.
The Petes took their first lead of the game 8:22 into the 3rd period on a goal by Andrew Yogan, however, the 67's came back to tie the game on Prince's second of the game at 16:46, but Alan Quine restored the Petes lead just 23 seconds later andrew Yogan was granted his second of the game and 22nd of the season when he was hauled down on an empty net breakaway and ruled the goal automatically.
Next action for the Petes is Saturday night when they host the Guelph Storm at 7:05pm at the PMC.
