The Petes earned a point in an overtime lose to the Barrie Colts on Sunday afternoon in their final game before the Christmas break.
The Colts scored the lone goal of the 1st period with just 49 seconds left in the period on a goal by overage forward Daniel Erlich and built a 2-0 lead 13:40 into the second period when Eric Locke beat Petes goaltender Mike Morrison.
The Petes got on the board 30 seconds into the 3rd period on a goal by Andrew Yogan, but the Colts came right back to restore their 2 goal lead at 1:38. The Petes pulled within a goal at 11:32 on the powerplay with a goal by Alan Quine, and Luke Hietkamp tied the game forcing overtime with 1:25 remaining in the game.
The Colts continued to hand the Petes overtime trouble as Erlich scored his second of the night 3:22 into extra time and the Petes remain winless in overtime and shootouts.
The Petes are now off until December 29th when the host the Erie Otters at the PMC.
