The Peterborough Petes fell 5-1 to the Oshawa Generals on Thursday night at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
The Generals opened the scoring 2:48 into the game on a goal by Adam Lloyd, but Jonatan Tanus replied for the Petes with an unassisted short handed goal at 18:07 for his second goal in as many pre-season games.
The second period was all Generals scoring as they built a 4-1 lead on goals by Tyler Hore at 2:12, Cole Cassels at 15:43 and Lucas Lessio 16:07.
Boone Jenner closed out the scoring for the Generals 1:02 into the 3rd making the final 5-1 for the Generals.
Next action for the Petes is a return match up with the Generals on Saturday night at the Ajax Community Centre. The Petes will close out the pre-season with a home game against the Mississauga Steelheads on Thursday September 13th at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
