The Peterborough Petes rebounded from a 6-3 loss on Wednesday night in Belleville to beat the Bulls 4-1 in Peterborough on Thursday night.
Peter Ceresnak opened the scoring for the Petes 1:59 into the game with Joey West and Stephen Nosad picking up there first of 2 assists on the night.
The Petes again opened the scoring early in the second on a goal by Nick Ritchie with West and Nosad picking up assists. Austin Watson extended the Petes lead to 3-0 with his 3rd shorthanded goal of the season at 3:44 and the Petes held that lead through 40 minutes of play.
Matt Puempel scored his team leading 14th goal of the season on the power play at 10:14 of the 3rd period with assists to Slater Koekkoek and Petes goaltender Mike Morrison but the Bulls ended Morrison's shutout bid at 10:56 making the final 4-1 for the Petes.
The Petes next home game is Saturday night when they host the Windsor Spitfires at 7:05pm.
