Peterborough Petes General Manager David Reid announced today that the team has signed their 2nd round selection Josh Maguire, the 25th overall pick from the 2012 OHL Priority Selection to an OHL Contract and Education Package.
“The Peterborough Petes are very excited to add Josh Maguire to our team” says Petes General Manager David Reid. “Josh brings an element of skill and energy to our team and plays with a passion for the game each and every shift. Josh is the type player you love to have on your team and hate to play against and I am confident our fans will enjoy watching Josh wear the Petes jersey. Josh is a tremendous young man and we look forward to helping him achieve his goals in hockey.”
The Petes selected Maguire from the Quinte Red Devils Minor Midget AAA with the 25th overall pick in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection on Saturday April 7th. Josh also represented a group of North American Prospects in the Czech Republic in early April. Maguire will be wearing #19 for Team Maroon this weekend when the Petes host their Orientation Camp presented by Boston Pizza.
