Petes Stung by Sarnia

The Petes dropped their 3rd game of the weekend in a 4-2 loss to the Sarnia Sting on Sunday afternoon.

After a scoreless first period, the sting built a 4-1 lead after 40 minutes of play with goals by Nail Yakupov at 2:40, Brett Thompson at 6:12, Taylor Carnevale at 13:05 and Charlie Sarault at 14:17 before Dylan Fitze scored his 3rd of the season at 14:57 getting the Petes on the scoreboard.

Stephen Pierog recorded the only goal of the 3rd period cutting the Sting lead to 4-2 at 6:58.  Fitze finished the game with a goal and assist earning 3rd star honours.

Next action for the Petes is Thursday night when they host the London Knights at the PMC.  Game time is 7:05pm.
