Downie Assists on Team Canada Game Winner

Peterborough Petes forward Steve Downie assisted on Michael Blunden's (Erie Otters) game winning goal late in the third period of last night's pre-tournament match up between Canada and the Czech Republic. Canada won the game 2-1. Jonathan Toews was the other goal scorer for Canada.
Next action for Canada is Thursday night when they take on Russia in their last pre-tournament game before opening the round robin tournament on Boxing day against Finland. All action can be see on TSN.
