Sedlak to Represent Czech Republic
December 2, 2009
The Peterborough Petes will be represented at the 2010 World Junior Championship tournament in Saskatoon and Regina, Saskatchewan, as second-year defenceman Adam Sedlak has been invited to play for the Czech Republic.
"I'm so happy because I wanted to go," said Sedlak, who will leave Dec. 17 to join his Czech teammates for training camp in Saskatoon. "It's a big step for me to play at the world juniors for my national team. I was so excited."
The former first round draft pick in the CHL Import Draft last represented his country at a summer tournament in Slovakia which his nation won.
