The Peterborough Petes will look to rebound from a string off three losses last weekend with a pair of home games this weekend against the Ottawa 67's and London Knights before travelling to the Nations Capital on Sunday for a repeat match up with the 67's.

On Thursday the Petes dropped a 7-2 decision to the Barrie Colts on Pink in the Rink night where they raised over $51,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society before travelling south west to take on the Erie Otters Saturday.

Saturday night was a struggle for the Petes after learning that defenceman Adrian Robertson would not play after taking warmup.  Robertson joined the list of Petes players sidelined with injuries including leading scorer Ryan Spooner and top NHL draft prospect Austin Watson.  The Otters jumped on the Petes early with a goal just 47 seconds into the game on a goal by Shawn Szydlowski.  Andrew Yogan gave the Otters a two goal lead at 3:10, but Matt Puempel continued to have the hot stick for the Petes scoring his 23rd goal of his rookie season at 8:17 pulling the Petes within a goal of the Otters.  The Otters however came right back restoring their two goal lead at 12:44 on a powerplay goal by Jeremy Gottzmann.

The Otters added to their lead with a single marker in the second period by Zack Torquato and increased their lead in the third with goals by Greg McKegg, David Broll and Torquato making the final 7-1 for the Otters.

On Sunday the Petes made a stop in Brampton on their way home facing the Battalion for the first time since the return of injured forward and defending OHL Player of the year Cody Hodgson.  After a scoreless first period Hodgson made his presence felt with a 3 point second period assisting on the Battalion's first goal by Sean Jones 1 minute into the period and then scoring a pair of his own at 10:37 and 13:56.  The Battalion closed out the scoring with an empty net marker at 19:40.
