Director of Sales, Marketing and Advertising - Aaron Garfat
Aaron is responsible for Corporate Advertising/Sponsorship Sales as well as Season Tickets and all associated Ticket Package sales including Flex Packs, Group Tickets, ReMax SkyBox and Brick Birthday Box. Aaron has been with the Petes since the 1996-97 season and has done just about every job in business operations at one point or another. He started as a Marketing Intern while completing a Diploma in Sports Administration at Durham College. In the 1997-98 season he worked as a part-time assistant to the Director of Marketing & Public Relations before being named to a full-time position in 1999 as the Director of Marketing & Public Relations. In 2006 he was promoted to Director of Marketing & Sales and from 2010-13 served as the teams Assistant General Manager. Aaron lives in Peterborough with his wife Sue, son Jordan and daughter Carlisle.
Director of Merchandise - Don Sharp
Don joined the Petes Business Operations Team in 2009. Don is responsible for managing the Petes Souvenir and Merchadise Sales in the Petes Store and the Petes Store online at www.gopetesgo.com. He has over 35 years of retail experience. Don was instrumental in the Petes Store taking on the sale of Peterborugh Lakers Merchandise as well as creating a Minor Hockey Purchasing Program with the Minor Petes AAA, AA and AE System. Don was raised in Peterborough and is a graduate of Adam Scott collegiate and Fleming College with a Business Retail Diploma. He is well known in the community for his involvement in sports and the Kawartha Rotary Club. Don lives in Peterborough with his wife Jan and has two children Ryan and Jessica
Director of Communications & Game Night Operations - Burton Lee
Burton is responsible for all team communication efforts including social media, web-site content, liaising with local and national media, press release distribution and the organization of press conferences. Further, Burton manages all game night operations at the PMC during Petes home games, including promotion execution, special events, and fan experience management. Burton has been with the Petes since August 2013. Previously, he held positions in ticket sales, marketing, and fan relationship management with The Aspire Sports Management Group, the Sarnia Sting, and the 100th Grey Cup Champion Toronto Argonauts. Burton graduated with a BA, Kinesiology & Phys. Ed. from Wilfrid Laurier University, and is currently working toward his MBA, Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University. Burton currently lives in Peterborough with his girlfriend Heather.
Community Events Coordinator & Marketing Assistant - Matt D'Agostini
Matt is responsible for all community events that involve the Petes, including school visits,
hospital visits, and hockey camps. He is also an assistant to Aaron Garfat in the marketing department. Matt is beginning his first full season with the Petes after jumping on-board as Season Ticket Sales intern in January 2013. Matt is a graduate of the Sports Management program at Durham College. He is the older brother of Petes goaltender Andrew D’Agostini. Matt, a Scarborough native, currently resides in Peterborough.
Office Administrator - Cathie Webster
Cathie joined the Petes Business Operations Team in 1993 as the Office Administrator and is currently the teams longest serving employee. Cathie's responsibilities include bookkeeping, payroll, travel arrangements for the General Manager, players, and their families, etc. Cathie is a Peterborough native and has one daughter, Melissa.
Security, Risk Management & Billet Liaison - Walter DiClemente
Walter DiClemente is a retired Police Sergeant with over 34 years of policing experience as a patrol officer, criminal investigator, major case manager, media liaison officer, training officer, professional standards/internal audits investigator, community services officer, crime stoppers coordinator, recruiter and background investigator with the Peterborough Lakefield Police Service and the Toronto Police Service. Since 1983, Walter has been involved with the Peterborough Petes as a billet to 13 Petes players and for the past 17 years he has taken on the role of team Security and Risk Management as well as the Billet coordinator. As part of his duties with the Petes, Walter has set up a proactive risk management program that has been looked upon as a model program throughout the league. He has had extensive involvement with security during the 1996 Memorial Cup and the 2004 OHL All Star game in Peterborough. Married to wife Krista, they have two boys who are actively involved in the local sports community playing hockey, lacrosse and baseball. As an active community volunteer, Walter presently holds the position of President with the Peterborough Minor Petes “AAA” Zone Hockey Council and presently works part time as a Police Foundations instructor at Trillium College, Peterborough campus.
