Drafted by the Petes in the 1st round, 7th overall in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection from the Notre Dame Hounds Midgets. Played most of his minor hockey with the Kemptville Panthers & Upper Canada Cyclones AAA (ODHA).
Won the Gold Medal with Team Ontario at the 2011 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge.
Won the 2010 Telus Cup Midget Championship with the Notre Dame Hounds and was named tournament MVP.
Recorded his first OHL point on September 23rd, 2010 vs. Oshawa Generals and his first OHL goal on September 30th, 2010 vs. Belleville Bulls.
Won the Gold Medal with Team Canada at the Memorial of Ivan Hlinka Under 18 Championship in August 2011.
Represented Team OHL at the 2011 Subway Super Series in Ottawa and Sault Ste. Marie.
